The G500 offers high-capacity, secure, modular, and scalable hardware and software components, streamlining automation system deployment and maintenance, reducing costs, and increasing system reliability by minimizing equipment amount.

G500 Main Features

 

Data Collection, Centralization, and Visualization

When operating as an SCADA host, the G500 can collect, filter, and organize data from various intelligent devices within the substation (RTUs, relays, meters) while retaining the original data timestamps to ensure accurate event sequencing.

 

Fault Event Logging

The G500 can automatically retrieve events and waveform files from devices such as Multilin UR protective relays, GE D25 controllers, and IEC 61850 server equipment. It uses IEEE standard naming conventions for event files and stores them locally or sends them to the company server using RSYNC, FTP, or SFTP.

 

HMI (Human-Machine Interface)

The G500 features HMI capabilities, allowing users to securely access all data points within the system, alarm screens, communication status screens, dynamic single-line diagrams, trend graphs, and reports. This assists users in analyzing trends and understanding long-term equipment operation and changes.

 

Gateway Redundancy

In addition to operating as standalone units, two G500s can be quickly configured to operate in a redundant mode to enhance the reliability of substation equipment monitoring and control. When configured in redundant mode, one G500 is in active status while the other is in standby or backup status. The standby device continuously monitors the operation of the active device and automatically takes over when needed. To prevent unnecessary switching, even if the other unit returns to normal, the active unit continues to operate.

 

Advanced Automation

With its advanced IEC 61131-compliant programmable logic tools, users can create custom programs ranging from simple to complex for various automation applications. Examples include sequence switching, interlocking, automatic segmentation, automatic reclosing, load tap changer control, capacitor control, reactor switching, and alarm grouping, among others.

 

D.20 I/O Module Support

The D.20 I/O module is an expandable intelligent module that includes an onboard microprocessor, providing the G500 with the capability for communication, information retrieval, and control. It supports D20A, D20S, D20K, D20C, and there are options available for high-voltage and fiber optic communication support.
